Computing history: Germany and the Netherlands

In August, a series was launched in the computing history section of the Iceni Technology Blog to present achievements made by various countries in information and communication technologies as well as in other technologies. Two countries, Germany and the Netherlands, have been presented so far in the Country spotlight series.

The short summaries tell readers who the most important inventors were in the particular country or which companies and inventions are the most far-reaching. For instance, one can learn that the stock exchange was a Dutch “invention” or Konrad Zuse’s machine was operational already in 1941, etc.

Keen to read forthcoming presentations!
